What is Cyclocross?

Cyclocross is the wild child of cycling—part road race, part trail ride, part obstacle course. Riders tackle mud, grass, sand, and barriers, hopping on and off their bikes in a fast, gritty, and spectator-friendly showdown.

Who is cyclocross for?

Cyclocross is for all ages and all abilities. From first-timers to pros, it’s about testing yourself, cheering each other on, and having fun no matter where you finish.

What do i need to participate?

All you really need is a bike and a helmet. Many riders use mountain bikes or hybrids when starting out. If you want to race in the “A” category, a cyclocross or gravel bike with drop bars is required. For winter races, a bike with 3.8” tires or greater is required.

Why is it fun?

Cyclocross is full of energy, community, and laughter. The races are short (30-60 minutes) and action-packed, so spectators can see most everything up close. Little kids get their own races, families bring snacks and cowbells, and the whole day feels like a festival on bikes.
