Q: How is UPCROSS different that regular cyclocross?
A: We do it Yooper Style! We try to keep things fun and friendly. Our races are more closely related to mountain bike races, but with multiple laps. Most cyclocross events have lots of rules governing course layouts and equipment. We like to go by the "run what ya brung" rule (see next question) and let our course designers get weird. We have classes to suit your abilities and competitiveness.

Q: Do I need to buy a new bike?
A: No! Unless you are racing for series points in the "A" Class, you just need a bike that is trail-worthy and safe.

Q: I have never raced before, what do I do?
A: Show up to a race early, tell someone you are new. Our series is laid-back, racers and volunteers want you to get hooked.
